Shinrei Tantei Yakumo, aka Psychic Detective Yakumo, tells a story about a college student, Saitou Yakumo who is born with different eye colours. His red left eye gives him a special ability to see ghosts and spirits. He believes ghosts and spirits are bound to earth because of a certain cause, and simply eliminating that cause will let those spirits rest in peace. Ukon is a beautiful Bunraku puppet created in 1870, supposedly by the Master puppet-builder Unosuke Koizumi III. But Ukon doesn’t act as a good Bunraku puppet should. When he is with Sakon, he is forward, obnoxious, flirtatious, coarse, and very egocentric. Together, Sakon and Ukon travel around Japan, solving mysteries, murders, and horrific crimes. In the meantime, Sakon’s aunt Kaoruko, a young and pretty police detective, helps him out and keeps an eye on him.

Princess Resurrection
Hiyorimi Hiro has just moved to the city to meet his sister. Since their parents died, he and his sister Sawawa have lived apart. Now, Sawawa has gotten a new job as the caretaker of a creepy old mansion, and has sent Hiro a letter asking him to come and stay there with her. While walking down the street, he saves a young woman clad in Gothic clothes from being crushed by construction beams, but ends up losing his own life in the process.
The girl then resurrects him, leaving him alive in the hospital morgue. He wakes up confused over what happened, only to encounter the woman again as she eliminates some wolf creatures. She addresses Hiro as her servant and introduces herself as Hime (Japanese for "Princess") and explains that she is a member of the royal family of the Monster Realm.All members of the royal family are endowed with the power to turn a dead body into an immortal warrior, who will serve and protect them, and become semi-immortal. Hiro is now Hime's immortal warrior, but she herself is not immortal yet, which is why she needs help from warriors. Plot Summary:According to an ancient legend, mermaid’s flesh can grant immortality if eaten. 500 years ago, Yuta unknowingly ate a piece of mermaid’s flesh. When he finally finds one, he discovers that she and her companions have been raising a girl to be their food so they can eat her and take on her youthful looks.
That is how mermaids stay young. Yuta kills the mermaids and rescues her, but she has already eaten some of the mermaid’s flesh. Although he had to kill the mermaids, Yuta isn’t too disappointed. Yuta’s once lonely existence is now over, as he has found a companion in Mana. And Mana, who had been trapped in a small hut her whole life, finds delight in even the simplest of things. Together, Yuta and Mana attempt to seek out more mermaids, trying to become normal humans again.

Plot Summary: About one thousand years into the future, civilization has been retrograded and humans are living dispersed within small communities.
